Expect A Miracle Ministries has served close to 2,000 individuals that have walked into the doors wanting a life change. We bring them in from the streets and many different lifestyles. We make sure they are well fed daily. If they need to kick the drugs they were on, we tend to their needs in that area. When they are well off physically we begin to work on their character spiritually. We begin by teaching them a new lifestyle. We have a heart for the drug addict.
These funds can help provide hygiene for the men and women as they are in this discipleship program. It can also help to provide clothing and shoes. Considering it is a free program, we run off of donations. We sell banana bread for a five dollar donation each loaf. This can also help to buy the ingredients needed for that bread. With enough help from the outside world to support the ministry it can decrease the amount of time that the men go out and sell and we can really focus on the quality of a man and a woman through teachings, preaching, training, discipline and discipleship daily. We want to give back to the community by focusing on the people that are in desperate need of direction.
The Expect a Miracle Home directors Pedro and Valerie Jaramillo were born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This is their story:
At the age of fifteen they became parents to their first son, and soon after Pedro became addicted to crack cocaine, alcohol, and other street drugs.
He was addicted for nine years. His addiction caused him to steal, vandalize, and leave for days on a “binge”. Tired of the life he was living and the hurt he was causing his family he was unable to quit. Through the pain and hurt Valerie began using marijuana and when that “wasn’t enough” became addicted to meth.
They lived as a young couple with no direction, struggling, abusive and were bound by sin. Trying to fulfill emptiness by what society says is fulfilling-marriage, counseling, rehabilitation centers, family… there was still emptiness…there was still an addiction.
At their lowest point with two children and no hope, they found themselves walking through the doors of the Victory Home in Artesia, New Mexico under the direction of Pastor Alex Hernandez and his wife Alma. It was there they meet Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The emptiness was filled, and the chains of addiction were broken.
God began to put a burden in their hearts for the “Lost”. They moved to San Antonio, Texas for eight years of training along with their children. There they were able to experience thousands of others lives changed through the power of Jesus Christ. The training consisted of teachings, discipline, and tools to come back to New Mexico and open their home and their lives to work with people who are in need of hope, a direction and a new life. Understanding that Jesus Christ is the answer.

Whatever is in your heart to give to this ministry will be greatly appreciated. The urgency in our hearts is to reach the drug addicted. We want to be the change makers. You haven’t reached the person until you’ve reached his/her soul.
