Benedict Publishing Company, Inc. (BPCI) is a Dallas-based 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization. Our goal is, through working closely with Texas inmates and recently released men and women regarding the medium of their demonstrated artistic ability, to provide successful psychosocial, attitudinal and behavioral changes that will lead to a reduction in the rates of recidivism.
Research has unmistakably demonstrated that education is a key factor in positive psychosocial change. Pairing this fundamental tool with necessary (life) resources, professional promotion opportunities and proven artistic abilities in writing/journalism, music, spoken word, art, etc. offers our program participants unique and innovative means for positively "changing their lives" forever.
Our Founder/CEO served 25 years in the Texas penal system and has witnessed the tremendous artistic talents of many incarcerated persons. He is now a published author and wants to share his experience to help others exiting the system. Many of the volunteers with BPCI are also ex-offenders who have made successful transitions. They share unique perspectives of the realistic needs of these confined and recently released men and women.
Although our nonprofit organization focuses on developing artistic talent, we provide specific social services that are designed to meet the needs of our disenfranchised client base. Our ultimate goal is to see our clients become productive and successful examples of "positive change."

BPCI has provided free books to prison inmates via our "Books-4-Inmates (B4I) Program." As word is spreading throughout the Texas prison systems, requests for books have increased exponentially. We desperately need $5,000 to support this vital project to the end of our 2018 fiscal year.
