For the girls in theVillage's residential programs, the holidays can be a difficult time. Not every girl (ages 12-18) in our residential treatment program has the opportunity to go home for some or all of the holidays. As you can imagine, those left behind can feel lonely. Staff at theVillage work hard to make them feel special by planning trips to places like the Franklin Institute, ice skating, the movies, and more. In addition, all residents have the chance to attend a live theater performance. In the past, we've treated our girls to shows such as the Panto at People's Light, Disney on Ice, Stomp, and the Nutcracker. For many of our girls, this is their first opportunity to see a professional stage production. These normalizing activities are made possible through the generosity of donors like you. Your donation for Giving Tuesday will make the holidays brighter for the girls in our care.

TheVillage is a dynamic nonprofit organization that exists to prevent child abuse and neglect and, when they occur, heal their impact. The role of theVillage is to build healthier families. This, in turn, leads to more stable communities. TheVillage is accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC) and certified in the Sanctuary Model of Trauma-Informed Care.
