Do you want our children to be College and Career Ready? Do you think team work, problem solving, and creative minds are needed in today's youth? If you answered yes, then look a little deeper into South Carolina Odyssey of the Mind. This creative problem solving competition will not disappoint you.
This program, South Carolina Odyssey of the Mind (SCOotM), is a completely volunteer run non-profit organization that offers the world's premiere creative problem-solving program for students K-College. By tapping into creativity, and through encouraging imaginative paths to problem-solving, students learn skills that will provide them with the ability to solve problems for a lifetime. Odyssey of the Mind teaches students how to think Beyond the Box divergently by providing open-ended problems that appeal to a wide range of interests. Technology and science meet art and drama in Odyssey of the Mind - a creative problem-solving competition in which the students learn how to write skits, make props, act, build mechanical devices, and work as a team in the process.
To continue to run this program, funds are greatly needed. These funds would be used to run 3 Spontaneous workshops, judges training, and our state tournament. Our Spontaneous Workshops are in February, as well as the judges training. The state tournament will be held in March, and we expect more than 300 students to participate.

Help us continue to run the SC Odyssey of the Mind. Funds are greatly needed to hold 3 Spontaneous Workshops, Judges Training, and our 38th State Tournament. To accomplish this, we are requesting $9,000, to assist students in participating in the world's premiere creative problem-solving program.
