Day #18: Update Your Social Media Networks

Expand your social media networks for increased press distribution by inviting nationally influential people, businesses and associations that would likely contribute to or promote your campaign and by joining active national groups with a large amount of members on social media platforms.

Update your social media channels with content that not only requests donations but also demonstrates a change in your campaign status since your recent press release.

National:

The fourth week of crowdfunding addresses people and associations outside the community and industry in which your campaign resides. Establish common ground between your need for funding and national funding sources. What would make a person or company on the other side of the country want to contribute to your UHelp campaign?

Tips:

Social media updates with images generate more interest than updates with text alone. In addition to requesting donations, the update could detail how much you raised so far, your perks for donating or an interesting fact about the campaign. Social media posts should be scheduled between 1 and 2:00 pm.
