Day #7: Distribute Your Press Release

1. Email your press release to your 10+ contacts individually and follow up with phone calls.

2. Expand your campaign email list by adding the emails of community leaders. Copy the HTML of your press release and paste it into your email marketing code on your own template. Send your press release to your entire email list.

3. Update your campaign page with your press release and share it onto all your social media channels.

4. Add community people to your WhatsApp group. Share the campaign update to your WhatsApp group.

Community:

The second week of crowdfunding is your community outreach week. Plan your community outreach message. Why should community members contribute to your Uhelp campaign?

Tips:

For optimal distribution, press releases should be scheduled between 7:13 am and 8:55 am. Follow up calls immediately after the send so your release does not get buried and forgotten. Community emails should be scheduled after 9:30 am and WhatsApp and social media should be posted/sent after 1 pm.
