Just two years ago, Jennifer was walking down the aisle to marry her prince charming. As she took to the floor for their first dance, she closed her eyes to fantasize -- a house with a white picket fence, two children playing with their puppy in the yard. Unfortunately, Jennifer didn't have a crystal ball. She had no way to know that, at the tender age of 31, she would be diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. As far as Jennifer knew, Breast Cancer did not run in her family, and "mammograms were not necessary until she was much older."
Shocked by the diagnosis, Jennifer's world collapsed. She and her husband had moved 1,200 miles away from family after they wed. Her husband had to double up on hours at work to sustain them financially and keep active health insurance. Jennifer was battling for her life ... alone.
Frightened and confused, Jennifer reached out to an organization she read about in a local newspaper -- 4 Years And A Day, a Breast Cancer advocacy nonprofit. She was hoping to get some guidance, maybe attend a support group -- however, what she received was far greater. A friendly face, a warm embrace, a hand to hold so she didn't have to go for treatments alone. Grocery gift cards to help augment the loss of her salary. Nutritional tips on what foods would boost her immune system without having an adverse reaction with the chemotherapy. Jennifer received a lifeline of hope...
Your contribution to this campaign will not only help with continued support of Jennifer, but will also allow 4 Years And A Day to recruit and provide benefits to dozens more like her. Your donation will provide nutrition support, counseling and transportation to many more in need.
We thank you in advance for your contribution!
