Tri-State Career Services, LLC is a new business that specializes in providing necessary skills to potential workers interested in filling miscellaneous positions. These positions, such as court reporting, broadcast captioning and CART providing, though not well known, come with substantial wages. The company will provide both pre-hire and post-hire career training to unemployed individuals, empowering them to enter a new, untapped workforce with the adequate skillset to succeed.

How the funds will be used:

Payment of organization expenses: Estimated Yearly Expenses

  • Court Reporting/Broadcast Captioning/CART Providing Training for 5 people - $30,500.00
  • Scopist Training for 5 people - $12,500.00
  • General/Legal Transcription Training for 5 people - $5,485.00
  • General Proofreading Training for 5 people - $2,985.00
  • Laptops for 15 people at $300/person - $4,500.00 (all training programs except for proofreading)
  • I-Pad Minis for 5 people at $300/person - $1,500.00 (Only for proofreading training program)
  • NCRA (National Court Reporters Association) membership for 10 people (1 year) - $1,750.00 (Only for court reporting/broadcast captioning/CART providing and scopist training program)
  • I-Annotate software for 5 people at $10/person - $50.00
  • Business Address and phone number - $645.00
  • FreshBooks accounting software - $180.00
  • Annual organization tax - $300.00
  • State business license - $75.00
  • Website hosting - $40.00
  • Domain name - $11.00

This leaves us with a net amount of $5,413.00 that can be used for any unforeseen expenses and to save for next year's funding of training grants, if goal of $150,000 net raised has been met.
