Hope House Ministries is a faith-based organization. The motto is from Matthew 25:40: “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.” Supported by dedicated volunteers for over 10 years, the food and clothing banks have been the passions of the Oakland Church of the Nazarene. Since August 2014, Hope House Ministries has become an official Nazarene Compassionate Ministry Center. Hope House Ministries follows the guidelines of Evangelical Counsel for Financial Accountability (ECFA).

All food and clothing are freely distributed to anyone off the street on a weekly basis. The Food Distribution is in partnership with Harvesters and receives food donations from the Topeka Rescue Mission, Aldi and Panera.

Hope House Ministries provides free pancakes every Sunday and free clothing every Sunday and Wednesday to anyone in need. The organization also distributes boxes of food to individuals off the street every week (and as needed for special emergencies), providing an average of 10,000 lbs. of food per month to 267 people per week.

Hope House Ministries is in urgent need of an industrial-sized electric dryer for the clothing bank, two freezers to replace the old freezers and one commercial-sized refrigerator.

Please help us support the Topeka and Oakland Communities. God Bless!
