Help us move!

It is an exciting time for the Bernalillo County Community Health Council! In our 25th year as a health council, we have many things to be thankful for and many changes to celebrate. During this past year – our third year as an independent non-profit organization - we have expanded staff significantly to manage our various initiatives, ranging from support for Healthy Here (reducing chronic disease through healthy eating/active living) to implementation of multiple strategies focused on reducing opioid overdose deaths. And we also continue to expand our assessment, planning and convening functions to work toward fulfilling our vision of a healthy Bernalillo County, where everyone has the ability to meet his or her full potential.

With expansion come new challenges. As you can see in the picture, we've outgrown our current office’s capacity for handling the multiple community-based meetings that we convene. However, we have secured a new office space that will allow us to more effectively accomplish our role as a community convener. BUT we could use some extra support during this transition, for costs not covered in our program-focused contracts. Anything you can give will be much appreciated to help us reach this important milestone in our organization's history. We especially need monetary donations, but we’re also in need of some of the basics to equip the new office - refrigerator, microwave, couches, etc.

Please note that donations to a 501(c)3 are tax-deductible and #Giving Tuesday is just around the corner on November 28, so the timing fits perfectly!

We really appreciate your help and support, and we look forward to continuing to grow with our community and to this new chapter in your Community Health Council’s history!

Please help us move. We've outgrown our office and are moving into a larger space so we can continue to serve as a resource and convener for those organizations, institutions, and individuals with a passion for improving the health of all Bernalillo County residents!

The Bernalillo County Community Health Council has various initiatives, from support for Healthy Here (reducing chronic disease through healthy eating/active living) to implementation of multiple strategies focused on reducing opioid overdose death.
